Matthew 24:15, from the mouth of Jesus: “Therefore, when ye see the abominable desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (who read, let him read it). understand) …” One thing Jesus. didn’t say Tell us what the sign means on the spot!
Instead, he introduced us to the prophet Daniel
And we must go if we understand. Daniel has spoken at least four times about “ the abomination of desolation.” He approaches the issue in different ways and brings us to some definite conclusions. He also pointed out a person in our history who actually insulted the temple. However, the evidence in Daniel and the clear idea of what Jesus was saying tells us that the ancient king did not fulfill the prophecy of Daniel or Jesus. -su. Not yet.
Jesus said that when we see the abomination of desolation, which God hates, it will stand in a holy place. Stand there to stand? Do we go down in history from Antiochus Epiphanes two centuries before Christ was the forerunner? Or General Titus forty years AD? Or stand on your own two feet and sit down, as Paul revealed in his second letter to Thessalonians, chapter two? Stand in a sacred place.
There’s no need to guess what a “holy place” is to a Jew
Daniel talks about a temple. Jesus was standing near the temple as he spoke these words. Paul said that this man would indeed be in the temple of God!
Yes, we know that both our body and the church of Christ mention in the Bible as temples. But there is no need for such interpretation when the text calls for literal understanding. Here we are talking about a man who, in a historical – and still prophetic – event, was sitting at a real location inside the still-yet Jewish temple. So this verse says that when we see what Daniel said, that’s when we have to run.
And it ends with one of the most important pieces of advice for all Bible readers
The Spirit of God knew that the words spoken that day would be more important to the reader than to the listener in the long run, and thus confirmed that they (the readers) received the message: Be understood! Read it over and over, do your homework, find out what it means! Everything inside will eventually jump towards you. Yes, God knows that the words that were spoken that day will deliver to pens, typewriters, computers, and literally billions of people will one day have access to them. It has come to you. Receive the grace to seek God with all your might until your future is completely open.
Many people do not believe that God can do what He says
For example, how can there be another temple? Many people have probably asked when Solomon’s temple was built on the top floor. But a new building has arrived. In fact, plans for such a building are already available in our time. A quick “Google” search for the phrase “Loyalty to the Temple” should provide enough evidence that the surviving Jews are indeed planning a return to sacrificial worship as soon as possible. Some don’t think it will “work” or be necessary, it will.
Massive mining has begun.
Matthias has now awakened the rest of the city to follow him to a hideout and to a headquarters to take the next step. They moved another 13 miles northeast in the mountains of southern Samaria. There were about 40-50 men with a build enough to withstand the might of the Seleucid Empire.
Communication in those days was such that it was impossible to quickly report on Modi’s events. When they do, don’t make a fuss. Only a few men are left. For a year, they didn’t bother going to their hill dormitory. It’s time to train, recruit, restore respect for the law, be ready to defend, and start later.
The Hasidim first joined the new group but were only accepted after agreeing to fight on the Sabbath. Most of the others in this group allowed themselves to kill instead of breaking the holy day. Others joined, and within years Macbeth became a nuisance, but not a real threat, to Antiochus, who was busy building a kingdom in that “important” place.
Matthias’ sons, in charge of military operations, especially Judas and Simon
perfected the science of guerrilla warfare. There will be no open war. Dissolves when attacked. Choose your meeting. Use at night. Hit and run. Spread panic. Don’t rest. All of this has a very modern sound to it.
Matthias died in that first year, but the movement was not conscious. Judas was given the responsibility. The goal was to break the Seleucid regime in the Judean countryside and ultimately recapture and cleanse Jerusalem.
