If you’re looking to buy an i7 windows laptop, but aren’t sure where to start, there are plenty of factors to consider when finding the best windows laptop. When it comes to searching for the perfect laptop, it can be difficult to know where to begin. However, taking these steps will help you find the perfect windows laptop that works great and doesn’t break your bank account! Let’s get started.
Best overall: Dell XPS 13
Why You Should Buy It You’re probably already familiar with Dell’s excellent XPS 13, but now there’s a newer, 8th-generation version with improved performance and longer battery life. The new Dell XPS 13 is thinner than ever before at just 0.46 inches thick, yet it still features an aluminum lid that feels sturdy in your hands. Inside, you’ll find Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 4K touchscreen display option (with 100 percent Adobe RGB color). The palm rest isn’t made from metal but rather soft-touch carbon fiber, which not only makes it comfortable to use on your lap but also easier to clean than traditional laptop materials like brushed aluminum.
Best for students: Asus Vivobook X510UA
Our pick for students is Asus’ Vivobook X510UA. It’s got all of Asus’ trademark features: a slim, lightweight design with long battery life, plus a surprisingly powerful graphics card that delivers solid gaming performance. We recommend paying an extra $50 for upgrading to 16GB of RAM, as well as a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD).
Best bigger screen convertible: HP Spectre x360 15t
The HP Spectre x360 15t is easily one of my favorite Best Affordable Products laptops, and it has a great screen, build quality, performance, and battery life. It’s expensive, but you’re paying for premium build quality with an aluminum chassis and top-notch specs. If you want a larger screen to work on while transforming your device into a tablet or tent mode, HP’s Spectre x360 15t is a great choice. Its 4K display makes everything from spreadsheets to videos look incredibly sharp and colorful. In fact, if I had to buy one device for myself today that could do it all (except for gaming), it would be HP’s Spectre x360 15t in silver with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.
Biggest screen productivity laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad T480s
This is one of my favorite laptops of all time. From its gorgeous 4K display to its keyboard and touchpad, it’s a joy to use. It’s fast, portable, and last but not least—it’s reliable. Don’t be fooled by its 14-inch screen size—the T480s is designed for productivity first and foremost. It can last you an entire workday on battery power with juice to spare (about 10 hours). The only real downside? At 3.6 pounds it might feel a bit hefty if you carry your laptop around with you constantly. Luckily it comes in four colors, so find one that best fits your style! For gaming enthusiasts: MSI GT75 Titan
No other gaming laptop on our list comes close to offering all of these features for under $3,000. It has a six-core Intel Core i7 processor and a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR5 memory. The gaming-quality display is crisp and bright, too, thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time you can also pick this laptop even if you are enjoying at Hover 1 Electric Scooter. You can also play games on it without lag thanks to its SSD storage and generous 8GB of RAM. The display’s 4K resolution is sharp enough that you can edit videos in Adobe Premiere Pro.
