a crazy watch with diamonds created in the laboratory.
With its manufacturing technology,
it is a milestone in TAG Heuer’s more than 160 years of history.
The decision of the luxury watch manufacturer to enter the laboratory-grown diamond sector focuses on cutting-edge aesthetics,
versatility and design codes that have the power to make a watch truly unique.
Tradition Meets Advanced Technique
The technology of creating artificial diamonds called CVD,
which replica TAG Heuer calls ‘Diamant d’Avant-Garde’,
allows you to explore the world of diamonds in an innovative way.

the brand has created an extraordinary watch in which diamonds are used in unique shapes and textures.

TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma: An ode to materials and contrasts
The TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma,
powered by the H02 Tourbillon Nanograph movement,
has Diamant d’Avant Garde laboratory diamonds set in the case and features embellished indexes.
The dial formed by polycrystalline diamonds is an incredible component of this new and unique watch.
The artificial diamonds used in TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma are produced by a network of partners such as Lusix,
Capsoul and Diamaze who specialize in this disruptive cutting-edge technology.
The 44mm case of the TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma is mainly made of sandblasted anodized aluminium,
which perfectly matches the brilliance and colour of the material as well as the strength and purity of the diamonds.
The TAG Heuer designers have also created a glossy black ceramic bezel that highlights the elegance and contrasting patterns of the timepiece even more.
Carrera Plasma And Polycrystalline Diamonds
To push all limits even further,
the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer has joined forces with Capsoul which is a pioneering start-up in diamond design.
To create a spectacular crown at 3 o’clock,
entirely made of diamond,
the two pushers on each side of the crown have been embellished with a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating,
which gives the Carrera Plasma a captivating matte touch which contrasts with the brightness of the diamond.
The special polycrystalline diamond dial is one of the highlights of this new TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma timepiece.
This diamond effect,
specially created on the dial,
is the summation of crystal growth – producing another single diamond form.
This represents an additional type of CVD growth,
where many diamonds create spectacular reflections and a different visual effect while still constituting a single piece of diamond.
At 3 and 9 o’clock,
the chronograph minute counters and counters feature polycrystalline black diamond discs and polished rhodium-plated hands to facilitate the interaction of light.
The 11 white gold indexes are decorated with diamonds and feature double indexes at 12 o’clock.
The polished and rhodium-plated hour and minute hands with matte black lacquer are topped with white Super-LumiNova and feature a rhodium-plated central part.
The TAG Heuer logo with “Carrera” printed in black completes this sparkling dial,
designed in perfect harmony with the rhodium-plated bezel.
Design and Movement
The design of the TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma is spectacular,
and the movement inside this watch is also a true masterpiece: equipped with the impressive TAG Heuer Nanograph movement,
the caliber carries the innovative internal carbon hairspring,
developed by the TAG Heuer Institute. and made with the same CVD method as lab-grown diamonds.
The carbon hairspring offers exceptional anti-magnetism,
stability in all temperature scales and a refined geometry for excellent chronometric performance.
This also represents a unique way of mastering the carbon material inside and outside the timepiece,
as well as a complete and fusional integration of carbon throughout the watch and with the innovative lab-grown diamonds.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma features a black leather strap with black stitching and a black grade 2 titanium buckle with ADLC treatment that gives this stratospheric tourbillon an even bolder look.
The movement is TAG Heuer’s automatic Heuer 02 chronograph,
a Swiss-made movement with a 65-hour power reserve in a unique version developed specifically for the TAG Heuer Carrera Plasma.
This special edition has been extensively hand-finished and features the TAG Heuer shield-shaped oscillating weight.
