The Razer Naga mouse are ideal accessories for MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Games) and MOBAs (Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas) (Massive Online Battle Arenas). There are three game consoles available: Naga Hex V2 (same pricing as original Hex), Naga Epic Chroma, and Naga Chroma (which is the same price as the original Hex). In order to properly configure each Razer peripheral, it’s vital to understand the differences between them and who they’re designed to serve.
The former has thumb-activated controls on the left-hand side of the screen, making it ideal for the Rift (or any other competitive fighting arena you prefer). The Naga Epic Chroma has 12 thumb buttons, which is great for online RPGs where you need to hit a million skills quickly. Finally, the Naga Chroma is a cheaper option for those who cannot afford an Epic Chroma.
Razer Synapse is the brains of Razer peripherals, and it’s the suite you’ll use to modify the lighting, switch out profiles, or re-program the buttons that are now available. To get your shiny new Razer Naga mouse working, just install Razer Synapse and everything should be recognised and ready for customising. Before we begin, go into Synapse with your Razer account and activate your peripherals’ warranties.
Your Razer account will also make it easy to store your configurations and profiles to the cloud. Each of these is downloadable.
Customise
After selecting the device you wish to customise, you’ll be sent to the Customize screen. This area lets you create new profiles, load old ones, and re-map existing mouse buttons. Each button’s purpose may be changed by picking it from a list of preset functions in a new box that appears after each button selection.
Say you want to map the right-click to something uncommon, but don’t want to do it every time you play a game that supports that mapping. There are profiles! These files are great since they store your settings to the cloud. To utilise a certain button layout, just choose the profile before starting the game. Even better, Synapse can switch between profiles automatically when a game is loaded.
Performance
Synapse’s Performance area lets you control how the mouse monitors movement and whether or not cursor acceleration occurs. The mouse’s sensitivity is determined by the number of DPI it detects and converts into pointer movement on the screen. That is, the more sensitive your mouse is and the further it goes.
Switching from low DPI to higher settings may cause in-game issues, so allow yourself plenty of time to adjust. Despite the fact that this model (Naga Hex V1) boasts a maximum resolution of 5600. I have between 1500 and 3500 DPI. Remember that higher DPI does not necessarily equate to greater performance when looking for a new computer mouse.
Without altering sensitivity, you may adjust the acceleration bar below the DPI level to have your pointer go quicker than the mouse. If you pick higher numbers, the pointer will fly around your screen with ease. Performance adjustments are kept to profiles much like button settings.
Lighting
This is a simple screen where you may change the lighting settings for whichever item you are configuring on your computer. There are just a few options for non-Chroma peripherals that can be customised to millions of colour combinations. Those using Chroma technology may choose the exact colour that will be blasted into their environment.
You’re all set up and ready to go!
RzStats
Once you’ve used your new Razer mouse for a few sessions; The company will be able to offer statistics on how you interacted with objects on-screen. The quantity of mouse clicks, distance travelled, wheel rotations, macros used; Profiles adjust, and keymaps utilise during the last gaming session, day, week, or lifetime may be seen.
On the left side of the page is a list of supported titles. You may learn more about a game by selecting it from the list. You can see how many times you clicked the mouse as well as where you moved it on the screen.
The heat maps may show mouse clicks, mouse movements, and even keystrokes from linked keyboards. The tools might help you improve your game by boosting your mobility or by introducing new strategies. Overall, it’s a great collection of tools that may help you both in and out of games.
