How to Draw Harry Potter – let’s Get Initiated!
Step 1
Starting in the middle of your paper, draw a wide, jagged circle to create the outline of Harry Potter’s face. Note that the circle’s length should be more comprehensive than its height. Then draw two curved stripes on both sides of the front to form the ears. Here’s a helpful tip: To ensure Harry Potter’s face is marked in the middle, you can draw a horizontal and a vertical line across the paper to use as reference lines.
Step 2
Just below the face, draw two curved vertical lines one inch apart. This outlines the sides of the scarf. Then draw a slightly upward curve with both ends connected to the vertical lines. Now that we’ve outlined the scarf, it’s time to remove the hanging end of the scarf to make it look more realistic.
Starting from the left side of the scarf, draw another two slightly curved parallel vertical lines with a straight horizontal line connecting both ends. Feel free to customize the scarf however you like! You can even draw patterns and designs on the scarf for more fun!
Step 3
On both sides of the scarf, draw two parallel vertical lines with a straight lying line connecting both lots. When drawn correctly, it should look like a larger version of the shape we drew for the hanging end of the scarf in the previous step. Don’t forget to do this step on both the left and right sides of the scarf. This describes the front of Harry Potter’s coat.
Step 4
Underneath the scarf and between the opening of the coat, draw two broad “V” lines on top of each other. The top stripe should be relatively thicker than the lowest line. This outlines the collar of the shirt. Then draw two parallel horizontal lines below the “V” lines we just drew. Similar to the “V” line, the line at the top should be thicker than the line at the bottom. This traces the hem of the shirt.
Step 5
Now that we’re drawn the top, it’s time to pull the bottom and the shoes to complete the look! Below the top, draw a pair of pants by removing a similar shape to how we drew the coat in step three. . The pant leg should be slightly apart. Then, just below each leg, draw a side oval to outline the shoes.
Step 6
On both sides of the body, draw the coat’s long sleeves with a slightly visible pair of hands at the end of each sleeve. As you can see in this illustration, one hand is still at the side of the body while the other is raised. You can follow this illustration or position the arms however you like. Either way, we’re sure your Harry Potter drawing choice looks just as great!
Step 7
Draw the hair just above the top of the head. Then draw spiky strands of hair near the forehead. Now, let’s move on to drawing the magic wand. From the first of the raised hand, remove a pointed stick to create the wand. It should look like Harry Potter is holding the rod as he raises his hands.
Step 8
Below the eyebrows, draw two massive perfect circles. Then connect the two circles by drawing a line between the glasses. Don’t forget to outline the circle thicker to make the mirrors look more realistic.
Step 9
Inside the glasses we’ve drawn in the previous step, draw a vertical oval shape inside each glass lens to create the eyes. Next, shade the inside of the eyes, leaving a small spot unshaded to create a “bright eye” effect. And there you keep it; You have successfully drawn the mythical character Harry Potter.
Now all that’s missing is a splash of bright, vibrant colors to complete your work of art finally! Finally, filling in the colors for your fantastic drawing is the most exciting part! This is where you can show off your artistic skills and ability to mix and match various shades. Harry Potter initially has jet-black hair. He usually wears the traditional Hogwarts school uniform, a long black coat and gray blouse paired with black pants.
The scarf he usually wears is a combination of yellow and red, signifying that his house is Gryffindor. Feel free to color Harry Potter however you like, and use whatever colors you prefer! And while you’re at it, why not try experimenting with different coloring materials too?
