Pattern and Syllabus

Before checking the best books for the NDA exam, candidates must check the detailed NDA exam pattern and syllabus. NDA exam is conducted in two phases, written exam and SSB interview. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) determines the NDA pattern and syllabus. Candidates must know the pattern and syllabus if they want to qualify the exam for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy syllabus.

The written exam is divided into two parts, Mathematics and General Aptitude Test (GAT). The General Aptitude Test is further divided into Part-1 English Test and Part-2 General Awareness or General Knowledge Test. Total 150 questions are asked in the General Aptitude Test Section and 120 questions are asked in Mathematics. The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi language, written exam is of total 900 marks, total duration of written exam is five hours. The NDA syllabus includes the subjects of Mathematics and General Aptitude Test (GAT).

The level of the NDA syllabus is of class 10, 11 and 12 standards, candidates who qualify the written test are called for SSB interview. The total marks allotted for SSB interview is 900, with the help of syllabus, candidates will be able to know the important topics for the exam and plan their studies accordingly.
